_project Name: Sushi Malaga
_location: Spain
_brief: To create a contemporary open plan feel whilst maximizing the number of potential covers
_considerations: The client also wanted to be able to change the layout of the space in order to host functions and private parties focusing on a centralized cooking area.
_response: The design focuses on the use of extensive glazing which naturally enhances the feel of openness and makes full use of the views over Malaga. Rather than build two floors we made use of a mezzanine level which fulfils the clients brief on number of covers but also keeps the feeling of spaciousness. The hard surface walls emulate the outside of a building to give the impression of eating out.
