_brief: Contemporary but incorporating the Thai vernacular style. The client wanted distinct areas for relaxing, entertaining, sleeping and for guests.
_considerations: Make use of the various levels of the plot and retain the existing planting and trees wherever possible.
_response: We have designed a substantial home on different levels with five buildings separated by either walkways or large relaxation areas. There are three swimming pools including lap pool, children’s pool and infinity pool. The infinity pool runs off one level to form a wall of water plunging into the lap pool below which is traversed by a bridge. The use of many different natural materials balance and complement the extensive use of wood, used on the roofs and as partial window screening to filter light.
